Modeling the Ocean Floor
Students made qualitative (descriptive) and quantitative (measurement) observations and sketched the particle arrangement for "dough" ingredients.
They added fractions to double the recipe, then followed the recipe to make dough.
Students used their dough to make models of the ocean floor.

Erosion and Depostion Lab
Students carried out investigations to observe how water can change landforms through erosion and deposition.
This lab was an extension of our trip to Bull Island and a lesson on the beach.

Bubble Gum Experiment
Students tested different kinds of gum to discover whether the mass of gum changes as you chew it. Many were surprised by the results! They began by trying out a new tool...the triple-beam balance.
